Post-Graduate Diploma in Tourism & Management
The University of Derby
Six month course covering management issues related to the tourism industry, followed by a six week placement in the tourism sector with Melton Borough Council, where I produced a self-guided walk leaflet for Melton Mowbray. The course was assessed on the completion of assignments for each subject, which would involve any combination of research, working in groups, report writing and presentations. The subject matter split between tourism (marketing, ecological effects, tourism flows etc) and management skills (personal, law, accounting etc).
